Our training program will take around 18 months to complete which is quite usual considering the amount of knowledge a Driver needs to understand.  Here's how our training program will work;

After going through a rigorous interview day, our further recruitment process will include a psychometric assessment and medical.

Week 1 will be taken up with an induction...then...

HS1 - 2 weeks rules including Simulator training

ET - 2 weeks rules including an ET visit

SNCF - 3 weeks, including Ligne Grande Vitesse and Classic lines rules including Simulator training

ET - 1 week for route learning including a visit to the Railway Control Centre, Folkestone

High-Speed traction training - 3 weeks, as new operators step into the High-Speed arena uncertain of their traction, at this time, we can only offer a rough guide to the basics of High-Speed Trains, including communications - this module will include some Simulator training

SNCB - 4 weeks including Level 1 ETCS including Simulator training

4 days - KVB/TVM Practical handling on HS1

B1 Language training - 28 weeks including 4 weeks "en famille" in or around Lille

1 week refresh on KVB/TVM and ETCS signalling including Simulator training

1 week refresh on all rules including Simulator training

Ending in a visit to Calais for EPSF in French

 

As you can see - this is a very demanding and intensive training program culminating in being fully licensed as an International Train Driver.
